Slipped growth plate

My DS fractured his foot a couple of months ago or so we thought.
Was referred to the local hospital on Friday as it has been causing him severe pain. This X-ray showed a 'slipped growth' plate. Bandaged up and orthopaedic appointment tomorrow to see what the specialist wants to do. When I asked what that might be nobody had a clue!
Any body had / got experience of this?
Thanks

How did it go with your son's appointment?

I've not heard of a slipped growth plate but my daughter has severs which is inflammation of the growth plate cause by the muscles and bones growing at different rates, that can be extremely painful so I feel for your son.

Hopefully you got a clearer picture of what is going on and a plan to resolve it.

Thanks.
It was a very busy clinic and to be honest the doctor was a bit harassed and not that helpful. But she was probably overloaded.
Basically in a slipper cast and a walking boot and waiting for MRI.
Hope your DD improves soon
