Grommets

My dayghter is 9 she had glue ear a few years ago and got grommets put in 2 years and 7 months ago all the glue in her ears have now been draining to the back of her nose so she seams to constantly have nose bleeds now they tell me that her hearing in her left ear has gone down and have to go back in 2 months for another hearing test the grommets are still in her ears (they’ve remained in her ears for over 2 years and haven’t fallen out yet) and her ears are clear but I’m worried that she’s losing her hearing and I don’t know what’s going to happen next when we see the doctor again can anyone help please thank you

I'm afraid I cant really help that sounds odd.
Have you spoken to the Gp that would be my suggestion but I have a good GP.
Adenoids being removed sometimes helps with grommets.
Maybe ask GP to have a look.

One of my DCs had a grommet that didn't fall out. Instead it healed up over the top. Nothing to see on the outside (except his hearing decreases again) but he needed another op to remove it. I don't know if that's what's happening with your DD but 2 years is a long time for them to be still in.

Thank you will ask the consultant when I go back to see him in October hopefully he can give me a clear answer as her speech is being affected and I'm not sure if it's because of her hearing xx

I don't know about the other stuff but my ds's grommets were in for 2.5 years before they fell out. Currently waiting for the 2nd set.

My D has been going for over 2 years having constant hearing tests and now have to go back in October I'm just worried about her xx
