My 12 year old dd2 seems to have developed eczema overnight. At Easter she went to the gp (for the first time in her life
) as her fingers were weepy and itchy. GP said it was infected eczema and prescribed an antibiotic steroid cream, which cleared it up.
Last Thursday, she woke up and said her neck was itchy - bit of a rash. By Friday, the rash was very angry/itchy and she had small dry patches on her cheeks, forehead and eyelids - basically all over her face. These patches are now bigger and itchier.
I have diprobase as GP advised that for when the infected fingers had improved. We've put that on.
Is it worth going back to GP?
She feels incredibly self conscious. She met a friend on Friday (took a lot of persuading to go) who said "omg what's happened to your face?"
Her older sister has chronic spontaneous urticaria - at least that goes away for a bit with antihistamines.
