Tongue Tie and speech

Hi, we were told that our DD had a slight tongue tie but as she was BF fine they weren't going to do anything about it. She's now 10 months and trying to talk. We're not sure but it sounds like she might be showing signs of a lisp. Should we take her back to the doctors?
Anyone else experienced anything similar with tongue ties and speech development?
Thank you Smile

Following as I suspect ds has posterior tongue tie. We've already given up breast feeding so I'm not sure whether to bother getting it checked out or not.

My DD has a slight tongue tie and had quite a significant lip tie and has a bit of a lisp. She's nearly 5 now and we were told it isn't much of an issue until around this age but I've been thinking recently about getting it checked again.

DS had a tongue tie which was snipped. He's nearly 2 and still doesn't talk much at all and I've wondered if it's related.

Sorry not much help, just pondering myself really and interested to hear other replies!

I think 10 months might be too early to tell, and the tongue tie could stretch more. My son had a tongue tie that we never snipped, and it has stretched out. He's now 2 and is starting to talk a lot more now. There are no concerns about his speech at the moment.
