Can UTI’s cause nausea?

Dd is 10 and prone to urine infections, although she hasn’t had one in a year or so.
She has been complaining of feeling ‘queasy’ and off her food since last week. I noticed her wee smelt off so took her to the GP yesterday and she said she probably has an infection and prescribed antibiotics.
We went on holiday today and she is on a real downer, still off her food, doesn’t want to do anything and still complaining of this ‘queasiness’ which she has never had during previous uti’s.
Would the UTI cause this nausea?

Well they can make you sick so I guess they can cause nausea?

Yes, very common. Certain antibiotics also cause nausea

Yes. Nausea is a common symptom. But could equally be the antibiotics
