3 month old suddenly jumpy

My son has suddenly become jumpy, when I put him down his arms jump out and he cry's. it's really weird. Can anyone help?

Is it just when you put him down? Might be worth asking your health visitor next time he is seen?

Do you suspect infantile spasms? If so act very quickly and get them to the nearest large children's hospital a&e
