Hi All
My LO has been vomiting for the last 4 days. The sickness is only happening in the night time/ early hours. During the day there is no sickness but he is definitely out of sorts very sleepy and generally unhappy. He goes through waves in terms of hunger and yesterday seemed to have his appetite back but the sickness last night was worse than previous days. We've stopped his milk as that was coming back up with a vengeance and just giving lots of water now.
Have been to the Dr today and they've said he could have tonsillitis which could be causing the sickness. I'd never heard this as a symptom before so was a bit shocked.
I'm just not too sure what to now do food wise and whether staying off dairy is still for the best.
If anyone's had anything similar any tips would be massively helpful as a bit in the dark at the mo and felt a bit dismissed by the DR as typically my LO had a bright half an hour for his appointment so seemed fine, only to return to a sleepy and crying mess as soon as we were out!
Hoping that the sickness will be gone soon but any tips or good suggestions in the mean time would be amazing!!
Thankyou thankyou thank you,
Permanent washer of sick out of bedsheets mummy xx

What treatment did the dr prescribe for the tonsilitis?

Or did the dr not give any treatment?

I'd be going back to see a different dr tbh

Nothing prescribed apart from paracetamol as he said its viral so couldn't give anything Hmm

If would definitely go back to Drs tomorrow if sick again.
Try the BRAT diet as much as possible. So banana, rice, apple sauce and toast.

It does sound like tonsillitis especially with the sickness at night and morning. That was exactly how my DS would be with tonsillitis or ear infection.
But it may be that an antibiotic is needed.

Just focus on fluids for now, i think you can also give a little diaoralyte. When l.o is hungry again try to keep it light like broth and toast, plain rice, bananas etc

Puréed pear
Mashed potato
Dry Cheerios

Even if it goes through them keep encouraging them to eat.
