Hi

Hoping someone can help reassure me here.

My son suddenly stopped taking his milk on Wednesday afternoon. I took him to out of hours Thursday night after many battles to feed. GP diagnosed him with Tonsillitis 😔 so that was fantastic explanation to the sudden appetite loss. Yesterday (Saturday) we were back to out of hours as im getting hardly any water in him and point blank refusing milk, i was concerned about him having less wet nappies. Hes managing petits filous and that's all he's having recently. Although starting to enjoy solids again (i managed half a weetabix and 2oz milk this morning.) Still cries when he sees the bottle. The GP said his throat only looks slightly red now and no reason to not eat/drink and thinks it might be in his head its going to hurt.

I'm worried he's just not going to take any more milk 😫 has anyone else had this?

1 Calpol
2 Difflam throat spray
3 Encourage sloppy food as well as the milk

You could try using Calpol syringe to get fluids down him or see how he gets on with an open cup? It’s probably tensing the muscles of his palate to suck that is uncomfortable
