My 11 month old had a watery eye yesterday and today has woken up with both eyes practically stuck together and a bit puffy..

A few months ago she had a similar thing but not as bad and the doctor prescribed Chloramphenicol drops... it ended up going away and we never opened the drops. Now I’m wondering if I can use it this time or would you take her back to the doctors? Thanks all!

If the bottle was still sealed and still in date I'd do it. Also cooled boiled water with a little bit of salt in works a treat too xx

Argh just checked the date and it’s gone off... they must have a really really short shelf life. Good point though. It’s so hard to get out of work to get to the drs so was trying to find a way around it.

You might be able to buy chloramphenicol in the chemist. I'm pretty sure you can.

It says you must get a prescription for under 2s which is understandable but annoying, I’m going to see what the pharmacist says.
