When would you expect to start seeing a difference with starting iron supplement (prescribed by doctor) in a 14 month old?
It was only picked up due to having tests for his immune system which picked up low iron...

My DD was anemic at 14mo and had three months of iron, retested and was fine and has been fine since. At the time they did rule our a couple of other possibilities (thalassemia, hard metal poisoning) and assumed it was nutritional (she was not very keen on meat and still breastfed a lot). The nutritional deficiency diagnosis was confirmed when her iron levels recovered after supplementation.
