Any suggestions please? I need to collect a urine sample in flow. I've sat with him for a hour until he got angry then tried in the bath and missed it Sad any tips??

Keep trying in the bath after a drink! Stand him on non slip mat... run tap in sink to make water noise (it makes my lb go every time!) Get a throw away jug or container with wide opening to catch it! Good luck.

Not a very nice way but when my daughter was tiny the midwife put her foot under the cold tap under running water. It worked pretty quickly.

Stick-on sterile bag worn under nappy.

At work we would sit him on your knee with an inco sheet and a strategically placed pot. Only way to get a sterile sample.

Are you breastfeeding? Had to get a wee sample from my lb in the hospital and they suggested bf him. He peed on dh and the nurse - she did manage to collect some though

When I needed to get a urine sample from my 6 month old, the GP gave me a special little plastic bag to stick on inside his nappy. Ask your GP practice if they can give you one?

Most doctors aren't particularly happy with bagged samples as they get very easily contaminated. It really needs to be a clean catch sample.

Well we got one! Filled the bottle Smile. In the end i bf DS naked although no wee caught there. I then laid him on the top changer and hey presto. Thanks all
