shingles

my 9 year old has shingles. she's on anti viral meds and isn't suffering too badly.
However I think it's unusual for children to get shingles.
should in ask for any further blood tests 're immunity etc

My ds had it age 3. It's more common to get childhood shingles if they had chicken pox under 1 year old (ds had it at 5 and a half months). I wouldn't think they needed immunity checked unless they had shingles several times

One of mine had shingles at preschool age. Bless her she was in so much pain - i did the keeping on top of it alternating paracetamil and ibiprofen
