DS nearly 7 just turned his head, then burst into tears. He said it felt like his skull was broken. A few seconds later he was fine. Any idea what it could be?

Nobody knows, obviously.

My 18 year old son used to say he occasionally got a sharp pain in his head when he turned it. It happened on and off and I'm not sure if he still gets it but didn't become anything serious.

Sounds like a crick in the neck. I used to get that occasionally at that age if I turned my head quickly or stretched. It usually cleared pretty immediately, but occasionally left me with a stiff neck for a couple of days.

Thanks both. It worried me because he was properly crying.
