Rotavirus vaccination reaction

Hello,
Has anyone else experienced a reaction with the rotavirus vaccination?
My baby boy had his 8 week vaccinations last Friday, almost immediately after the vaccinations he poo’d and it just kept coming.. hourly if not more frequent!

I’d breastfed baby exclusively for 2 weeks then mix fed up to 5 weeks using Aptimil which I soon changed to Hipp Organic at the advice of my pediatrician Dr (being a boy less estrogen in the formula). I decided switch completely to formula feeding at this point as I’d faced multipl challenges with the breastfeeding which I won’t go into but emotionally left me feeling quite down in the dumps.
Baby went from giving my tones of dirty sweet smelling seedy nappies to only ‘one’, more formed but still soft and yellow, huge nappy a day. He would struggle all day to give me this but I know switching from breast to formula can do this.

Anyhow, so vaccinations happened on Friday and although I stayed on top of the Calpol I felt as though baby was very hot to touch, having said that I was checking his temperature regularly with an ear thermometer and he was fine, 36.7 at most!

Come Sunday morning I notice a golden mucus in his poo and he seemed pretty unsettled with a tummy ache, crying randomly whilst desperately trying to suck his dummy, screwing up his face and thrashing his legs, (although he had been pretty windy prior I do admit and we have been using the infacol to help with this).

Come Monday I then noticed a few tiny specks of bright red blood in his poo coupled with the mucus which was sometimes blood stained and he was off of he feeds.
Usually he would take 6oz and still want more but I’m only managing to get 150ml at absolute most down him, some feeds he’s only taking 2oz and thrashing his legs up mid feed crying. He has always posseted but I feel lately he’s been bringing up more milk.

I took him to GP yesterday morning (not my usual paediatric GP) and he said it looks as though he was fighting a bit of the live Rotavirus and to basically let it ride out as he would be building a strong immunity against the virus.

I then later get a phone call from GP to say Rotavirus can cause some sort of infection and if he seems in a lot of pain then I should seek further medical help. With this I took him straight to A&E!!

The paediatric nurse took one look at a dirty nappy and confidently told me that she thinks he has had an allergic reaction to the Cows milk protein and to switch to a prescriptive formula Nutramigen
Could this just be a huge coincidence that he’s showing signs of an allergy towards Cows milk protein at the same time he’s just had his vaccinations or has anyone else experienced anything similar with the Rotavirus vaccination? I’m wishing I hadn’t gone ahead with this vaccination and I really feel helpless for my little boy :(

Meanwhile, I’m still changing him what feels like every five minutes and almost every nappy change is a pooey one, some with teeny tiny specks of blood, some without but almost every dirty nappy with this stringy mucus.

Sorry for the long tread but I wanted to give the compete picture. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Mine are too old to have had the rotavirus vaccination but post stomach bugs children can react to dairy products.

Not advocating google but if you search lactose intollerance after rotavirus vaccination there are many parents who have noticed the same thing happening.

My Dd was a happy baby until the Rotavirus vaccine then she had similar symptoms hat nooone could pin point and screamed constantly for the next 4 months. It's safe to say I will not be allowing my next child to have it .

My baby had her 8week jabs & rotavirus drops last week. She wasn't herself for a few days after. Very clingy, crying for seemingly no reason, lots of sleeping & she seemed very windy. She had trapped wind & she passed wind a lot. Her poo remained the same. She only poos once a day and it's a creamy yellow poo, bit of an explosion!

Did your baby have blood or mucus in her poo also? I’ve switched to the prescriptive formula which tastes absolutely vile!! I really want him back on the Hipp but the very last poo I got from him was frightening. Since switching the bloody mucus seems to have disappeared but he still seems uncomfortable.
He’s due a second dose at 3 months which I’m reluctant to let him have just in case it was the Rotavirus. Will you be allowing your little one to have the second dose?

@Mateja2018 I did let her have the 2nd dose as I hadn't put 2 and 2 together and worked out that was what was causing the issues.

We had no bloody but very explosive poos with mucus and what seemed like permanent tummy ache. It also caused issues with bf because she was in so much pain that she couldn't focus on feeding.
