Hi all basically my baby girl is 7 months , she has several strawberry marks the main 2 on her lip and chest. We recently started Propranolol (beta blockers) but ever since she has not been herself , she is is also teething which isn't helping but the main problem is that her sleeping pattern is really disturbed she's waking for at least 2 hours a night and not going back to sleep next matter what meaning she then is tired and sleeping more during the day! Just wondering if anybody has had any experience? I know insomnia is a symptom but wondering if it lasts long or just s fee weeks?

Hello
My little boy started on propanol around 6 months and struggled at first but it soon passed
Hes now on atenolol and fine with sleep - hoping it passes soon for you

Ahh good I'm glad he's settled now, how long did it take for his sleep to go back to normal?

Ive no experience of kids taking it but I take propranolol, when i first started taking it it made me fall asleep 7/8pm and wide awake at 3am then utterly exhausted by late morning. Started them in the sept, didnt start sleeping better until the New Year when i switched to slow release.

I take propranolol and it makes me really tired, I tend to fall asleep easily during the day or on an evening after work and then struggle to sleep on a night. I feel like I have no energy when I've taken it.

I know it's not as straightforward with little ones but is it possible to limit naps during the daytime a little so she is sleepier on a night?

DS has been on propranolol for several years 20mg X2 a day for pain it was a life saver. It took several weeks for him to feel the full effect.
