DS, 9 yrs went to the park this morning with DH for a kick about, they were only gone for about 10 mins, when I asked why they were back so soon, DH says that ds almost fainted so they came home. I asked him what happened. He said ds first asked for a drink, so as he took the water bottle he said he needed to sit down, which he did, so did DH at that point. Ds, took the top of & then he just went back, DH said the colour just drained from his face, his eyes were as if he was just sleepy. DH was tapping ds's face to alert him, he doesn't think he was fully out. So he sat him up as 'he came to' & he took a drink & carried him home. Ds says he doesn't remember anything about laying down. He said he had headache after.
He's been absolutely fine the rest of today. Although I've not let him out of my sight! DH said it scared the crap out of him, those few split seconds, he said were just the scariest thing ever. I actually asked DH if ds was joking with him at first, like messing around, but he said no, it was real.
DH said it's probably nothing to worry about, he seems to think it could of been the heat, although it was around 10am, they hadn't been gone for a long time so not been running around for ages. I know dehydration can cause fainting. Could just be a one off thing but it's still worrying, does is warrant a visit to our GP?
