Bad headache and temperature

DS has been complaining of a pain above his right eye since Weds afternoon. He’s also since developed a temperature and I’ve had him at the docs twice as he complained of breathlessness.
Calpol gives some temporary relief, but the head pain is back after 2 hours. He’s had 4 doses in 24 hours and I don’t have any ibuprofen.

Anyone any ideas what this could be? He’s never had a headache like this before.

Doc said there was a bit of fluid in his ear but this wasn’t a sign of infection.

Never said this before but I have recently name changed! Too much recently that could be identifying.

How old is your ds?
Breathkesnsss could be from the fever - it makes them breath fast
I would assume ear infection but that it just hadn’t developed enough to be seen last time you saw dr
Or a tooth infection - how good are you at cleaning his teeth/him at teeth cleaning

He is 8. Yes, the doc said the breathlessness was probably the fever, as his chest was clear.

Brushes his own teeth twice a day, doesn’t eat sweets often.

Hi Nigel how is your son feeling now? What did it turn out to be? Curious. We are going through something similar....day 5 of fever and headache...no other symptom :/

A virus went around DTs school just before they broke up - headache and very high fever were the only symptoms. Took one of mine a week to get over it.

Thanks aperol sounds like the same. We are on day 5. Any tips? :/
