Chicken pox timings

Does any one know ... if first child had chicken pox 2 1/2 weeks ago, and my second child has now come out in spots, does that reset the clock for my third child for another 21 days if he hasn’t yet come out in spots. Also, third child is only 5 months and exclusively bf - am I being overly hopeful that he might be ok?!

Thanks in advance

No it doesn't reset to 21 days as the 2 children would have been exposed at the same time. That doesn't mean they are guaranteed to get it and bf may afford a little bit of protection (again not guaranteed)

Dc3 hasn't caught it off dc1 as the incubation time is up, but now they are being exposed to it again by Dc2 so yes there will be another 21 days incubation period as there is every chance they will catch it this time off dc2. Hope that makes sense.

Dc3 could catch it from either exposure, or not.

Incubation period from first exposure isn't up yet though so dc3 could still be incubating it. Or he could get it from this exposure, or may not!
