Look spotty to me too

hungryhippie · 18/07/2018 23:31

It looks very much like chicken pox. has he been ill at all?

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:41

No he's been a bit winey, & a pain but put it down to being tired. Got normal appetite though but never had chicken pox before so I was thinking that

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:42

He was lying on my nans tiled kitchen flooring which he never does what that mean anything if body's hot or something

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:44

Hi OP,
You need to take his temperature and what age is he?

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:45

He's 4 & I will do

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:46

Also are there spots anywhere else ?

hungryhippie · 18/07/2018 23:46

Sounds like he has a temp. Can you get a thermometer from somewhere? If not, try him with a dose of calpol.

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:47

No just on bum. & I've got a ear thermometer checked it when saw spots & was 36 I will check agen

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:48

OP,
Has he been around any cats or dogs ?

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:49

He's been round his nans dog on sunday

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:49

Temperature is ok .

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:52

Op ,
Can you gently press one of the spots .

hungryhippie · 18/07/2018 23:52

My son once had spots on his bum like that which the doctor thought was chicken pox. they swabbed it and it was actually a staphylococcus aureus infection and he needed antibiotics. Can happen in the nappy area as it gets sweaty.

Luciemariee · 18/07/2018 23:54

Yes I can try he's asleep but I'll try if not can try in morning

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:55

OP,
If the spot turns white when you press on it then it’s more than likely flee bites, sorry to say .

avamiah · 18/07/2018 23:56

You don’t need to wake him just gently touch a spot .

avamiah · 19/07/2018 00:01

My daughter had more or less identical spots and they were flee bites from a cat.
It still needs to be treated as it can get itchy and infected so I would pop into your pharmacy tomorrow and get some cream or if you are still worried then pop into your nearest walk in centre if there is one local.

Luciemariee · 19/07/2018 00:04

Ok thank u I can't get to him keeps moving I don't want to wake him. I will deffinatly take him tomorrow. They are what looks like filled with puss like white heads

avamiah · 19/07/2018 00:16

If the spots have fluid in then it’s most probably chicken pox.

Luciemariee · 19/07/2018 00:36

Ok thank u for your help I will deffinatly take him phamist anyway

avamiah · 19/07/2018 00:49

Yes do that but if anything changes and you are worried then call your GP surgery and you will be put through to a out of hours number.

Luciemariee · 20/07/2018 09:16

I took him phamacy said it could be viral skin infection or chicken pox. Im thinking first one more now. Is it normal to have temp of 34.6 though with viral infection his normal temp is about 36.1-4 thank u
