Straight out of the bottle. Think he just got one mouthful. Internet telling me horror stories of salt intoxication but my instinct is that it’s probably not that kind of situation if he only swallowed one sip. Can anyone reassure me?

I assume from his reaction it’s not something I need to worry about him doing again!

Look at the bottle and work out how much salt he’s actually had, if you’re worried.

You can ring the poisons unit at the hospital, they will tell you straight away, they are very nice.

give lots of water

I’d be amazed if more than a mouthful was swallowed. Loads of water to flush it out.

Here is the Irish helpline but I can’t find the number for the U.K.:

I’m sure it’s fine. I’ve had to ring them myself when my daughter thought a cooler bag was an ice pop. They are very helpful.
