My 4 month old has suddenly started pooing after every Formula feed

Hi
Yesterday, my 4 month pooed after every feed. Same today so far.
No blood or mucus. The poo looked similar to all his poos really...thickish liquid and yellow.
He's really smiley. No temperature or rash. Slept through last night (prob cause he's tired himself out!!).
But before this he pooed once every 2 days....

Do I need to get him checked out??

After every feed much much more "normal" than once every two days

Did you change the formula in any way? Was it a new tin of formula you started, as I heard the Aptimil formula was changed slightly in recent weeks.

After every feed is totally normal. And I agree, better than once every day or two.

MyWaterButtIsEmpty · 16/07/2018 13:13

Quite possibly early teething related. Teething made mine poo like mad. If he doesn't seem tender in the stomach or dehydrated then I wouldn't be concerned.

Both of mine pooed every time they fed. My two year old still piis after most meals. When you eat your entire digestive system is stimulated to push things along, this can sometimes have a flow on effect to your excretory system.

Thanks. No formula change. And he's always pooed every 1 or 2 days which health visitor said was totally normal, but to go from that to pooing at every feed store ddenlu - seems odd.
No temperature etc. And he's happily laughing away right now but @MyWaterButtIsEmpty I was thinking teething too. .....
He's dribbling a lot and eating everything.
Thank you!

How often is your weighing clinic? It's the kind of thing I'd ask there but I probably wouldn't make a GP's appointment for it.
