DS (12 weeks) is combi fed but more 90% formula. He hates BF and my supply is consequently diminishing.

On Wednesday he didn't poo all day, then in the afternoon, did a massive poo! Huge. Came out of his nappy and everything. Then nothing Thursday. Friday morning, another MASSIVE poo. Loads. And then nothing today.

Lots of wet nappies and feeding fine but really concerned.

He seems so uncomfortable. Crying (screaming) for no reason, arching his back and drawing this little legs up.

I've given him gripe water after a feed, been offering him cooled, boiled water in-between feeds (he hates it though so only has a couple of sips) and giving him a bottle of expressed breast milk a day. I stored lots in the freezer when my supply was good at the beginning

I've also given him some nurophen (for 3+months) just incase his little tummy is inflamed.

He's passing wind. Sometimes crying just before or after a pop off. He's burping well during and after a feed. I've also been massaging his little tummy and pumping his legs to try and help.

So worried about him. Hate seeing him cry. He's not a 'cryie' baby, and so it's awful when nothing I do comforts him.

Any advice, suggestions or recommendations? Please, I'm desperate!

You are doing everything you can at home to manage this already, well done. I would take him to the doctor, they can have a little feel of his tummy and see it is hard or any signs of blockages and possibly prescribe something (I honestly cannot remember the age for lactulose which is what my ds had when he was smaller). Hugs to you as its so hard to see them suffer and you can't fix it. Keep going with the cool boiled water and the massaging tummy and trying to get as much wind out of him as possible.

Take him to doctor for something. Or ask your h.v first if you can give him some prune juice/ellas prune pouch diluted in boiled water

We had another poo explosion at 4am. Nothing since.

He's so uncomfortable bless him.

I've got the Ella prune pouches and some 100% nor from concentrate orange juice

How do you do give it to babies? In a bottle, on a spoon? In a syringe?

Little bit worried because it says not to goveu til 4 months +
