Hi everyone

Not sure if I’m at the right place as new to this

My little one is 12 months + 2 weeks and we have just swapped over to cows milk, she was currently having 3 milk feeds per day which is around 17 oz

Her milk feeds are:

7am, have milk in a munchkin cup and breakfast
2pm - milk in a bottle and have a nap
7:30pm- milk in a bottle and bed

I have been told this is to much cows milk and to drop the 2pm milk but she does like this with her nap, would you recommend to drop the milk down each day and maybe give her it in the munchkin cup then let her have a nap? And soon she will just have morning and bed milk feeds.. so hard and confusing just want to do what’s best

Thanks in advance x

It goesn't sound too much to me.i thought a rough rule of thumb was a pint a day ? She will be needing lots of fluid anyway at the moment.

My 2 year old has only just stopped having that amount of milk feeds (breastmilk though) in a day, who told you to reduce them?

I'd personally just ignore and let baby drop the milk when they are ready.

I try to get more rather than less milk into my one year old! He’s closer to 2 now and has sometimes has milk with breakfast in the morning or when he first gets up then always with morning snack, afternoon snack and dinner - not always a full cup and he has more milk before bedtime, we’ve only just stopped him having access to it all night. I think he gets through 1 to 1.5 pints a day.

Thankyou everyone for your comments they have helped a lot, it was my health visitor, I have spoken to another health visitor this morning and she said give her as much as she wants, how many ounces she’s having isn’t a issue at the minute, so her 3 milk feeds a day is still fone

I have no idea how much/what either of my children ate/drank at any stage OP. Your HV should be more laid back about this.
