Haven't actually seen chicken pox before so I'm not 100% can I take him anywhere to be checked you don't normally take them to the gp for pox do you

I can't really as We it very well but is say no. Pox are very clear liquid filled blisters. Usually appear as individual ie not in a clump like that. Also very uncommon in summer. Google an image and youll see.

Only thought pox as his best friend who we see several times a week has it but haven't actually seen his spots. My little boy is covered head to toe in spots they don't all look like this so wasn't sure

It looks a bit too “rashy” for pox, pox spots seem to be more individual seoerate spots. But pox commonly starts on the back. I’CW never heard that pox is rare in the summer - both my dc has it very badly in the summer.
