DD(7) has had on going issues with soiling since she was 4. Numerous visits to GP where we were prescribed laxido/movical but not really told how to use it properly so never kept up a maintenance dose and possibly didn't use enough.

Referred to bedwetting clinic in error the finally to a paed appt recently which DH attended. Paed unconcerned and asked if getting better and just said keep doing what you are doing, it's trial and error etc. Stick with 3 sachets a day and up dose if it gets worse.

We are now on 4 sachets a day and he has signed us off: no follow up appointment planned.

But this is still happening on and off.

Do I need to give even more a day?

When she goes its on the normal end of runny.and she does go at least once a day. When she has an accident she is often unaware it has happened.

It's awful for DD, we both worry every time she goes to a friend's house and all I do is buy enormous amounts of knickers from Primark.

Can anyone who had come out the other side offer any pointers on this? Her diet is good, she isn't great at fluids and we sit her on the loo after every meal. She very rarely gets the feeling she needs to go but often does when sitting on the loo.
