Cradle Cap or nits???

So my daughter who is 3 had cradle cap
For ages as a baby and it's been clear well over a year and a half now. The past few days she's been scratching her head really bad and I thought she had the dreaded headlice but no sign of the flying black things or any eggs as such only what looks like a big mass of more cradle cap. Any advice? Picture attached

Ha ha nits don't fly and they aren't black!
The lump looks like cradle cap but the small white lines look a bit like nit eggs but could be more cradle cap.
Do you have a nit comb?
I would give a quick comb through just to be on the safe side. You are looking for beigey brown bugs.

Shows how much I know!!!
It's making me itch too it's horrible!

Can't see any creepy crawlies but first thing tomorrow I'm going to go and buy some stuff!!

What's the best stuff to buy?

Check the bottom of her hair line around the back of her neck and around her ears for eggs. They're a sorta teardrop shape firmly glued to the base of the hair.

Cradle cap. Nits are the eggs..tiny bone and they stick to individual hairs. Live are the fleas and you sometimes see them running on the scalp. Insect bites on the back of the hairline are a sign of life. Google what to use for cradle cap.

Could be both. The cradle cap is easy to see. Can't quite see little egg stuck to hair strand.

Animals get fleas not children. Nits are the eggs and lice are the live ones.

It doesn’t look to me like she has either tbh. It could be cradle cap or dry scalp. I wouldn’t use any lice treatment unless you see a live one because they can become immune. Massage some conditioner into her hair and comb through with a good quality not comb. This will not only get out any lice or eggs but also any dry skiing that is clinging to the hair
