Blueish spot under DS skin (pic)

I'm hoping someone can put my mind at rest. My DS14 has this mark appear under his skin about 6-9 months ago. It's in the area on his arm just below we're a short sleeve t-shirt ends. At the time I noticed it he had caught the sun so I'm worried it's something bad. Does anyone know what this is and if it's harmless?

Has someone stabbed him with a pen ?

MumOfDiamonds · 01/07/2018 15:26

No, it's just appeared. It's not painful at all. He said it has changed in colour slightly (become lighter).

Susej thank you so much for replying. It's put my mind at rest that you have had one for so long. If it was me that had this it really wouldn't bother me but because it's appeared on my DS I overthink it.

I think I got mine around that age too (I’m only 20 now) and I’ve met 2 other people with blue moles! One my age and one older person. Maybe we’ve been abducted by aliens Grin

I have one on my hand, it moves around a little as well. The dermatologist said it was probably some dirt that got trapped under the skin when the skin was scratched.

I’ve got one and so has my sister. No idea what they are but we’ve both had them for years!

My dd has one of these! She is 4 and has had it since she was a baby, GP didn't have a clue and just told me that if it gets bigger or starts to hurt then to go back 🤷‍♀️

My friend has one of these. She got it aged 10 when she stabbed herself with her fountain pen. She still has no idea why she did it. Grin
