My 17month old has a blister type thing appear on her hand about 6 weeks ago - I took her to the gp who said it was either a wart or something was in it which would come out - leave alone and it would go. It hasn’t and she is becoming aware of it so I took her back and this gp said she could refer us to dermatologist as it feels rough like a wart but it will takes months so we are better of paying ourselves. I have called a few but they won’t treat anyone this young. Waiting to hear from someone else to deals with children’s dermatology....does it look like a wart??

I would've said hand foot and mouth but seen as it's been that long it does look wart like. My daughter had one on her toe very similar for about a year or so then one came on her top lip 😢 that lasted about a year too. They don't tend to treat them as they do eventually clear up, and I think it can be quite painful to treat.
My daughters cleared up on their own. There are natural remedies like tea tree and covering with duct tape but seen as ta where your baby can get at it, it's prob best just waiting it out.

Thanks plannedshock that’s interesting to know - one on the face must be very sad - I’m hoping it doesn’t spread but will see what the dermatologist says to hopefully check out exactly what it is

Colloidal silver has popped into my brain, but have a good read about it as it could just be a brain fart
