If you’ve used Thuja for molluscum, what dosage did you give

I wondered if anyone who has used thuja successfully to treat molluscum could tell me what dosage they gave?

I’ve tried it once with my dd and followed the instructions on the back of the Nelson’s pack to give 2 pillules every 2 hours for the first six hours, it then said to give 4 times a day for 5 days or however long it takes to work. Does this mean give 2 pillules 4 time a day ( so 8 in total ).

I wasn’t sure so tried to search online and couldn’t find a definitive answer, with some sites saying it could be toxic in large amounts. Therefore, after the initial dose I was just giving one on a morning and one on an evening for a couple of weeks. The appearance of the molluscum changed but didn’t disappear and now she’s got a huge one that has got infected and I’m desperate to get rid of them so thought I would try thuja again. She’s 10 years old and not tiny for her age, any replies would be very appreciated.

Are we talking homeopathy here?

MollyDaydream · 17/06/2018 09:25

If they are homeopathic then they can't be toxic - there will be no molecules of the 'active ingredient' actually in there.
They are sucrose covered lactose - sugar pills.

Yes. I don’t normally use anything homeopathic but when you search treatments for molluscum the one that comes up again and again is thuja.

However, I am a little nervous about using it and not knowing what dosage is safe. I’ve seen widely varying dosages online and obviously I don’t want to use anything harmful but dd has an 11mm molluscum which is painful and bleeding - I’m desperate to help her get rid of them.

I just did 1 tablet twice per day. Ds' calmed down, but he still occasionally gets 1 and I just scratch the top (white bead) off while they're tiny and they heal almost immediately.

I've also heard of something called like molludab, which I haven't tried, but might be helpful.

It's sugar, there's no safe/unsafe dose.
