My 3.5 yr old had his pre school jabs. His arm started getting red on Saturday evening and has got worse. Should I be concerned? It was the DTaP jab

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

The first two pictures are the latest. The third is when it first started reacting yesterday

My LO had quite a bad localised reaction on 1 arm about 3 x 2 inches pink/red patch. The other arm was fine.
Can't find pic, but I was a bit alarmed at the time.
It settled in a few days without any intervention.
I did give him Calpol, but mostly because it seemed really sore for him when he moved his arms.

draw a circle around it in biro, if it spreads outside of the lines ring the doctor.

Just found this pic.
I had forgotten how bad it was.
I gave piriton too, but beware, it does not make my LO sleepy, but sends him a bit loopy!

My dd had a pretty bad reaction, I'll try and attach a pic. I called our gp who said as long as she was well in herself and not got a high temp that it was just a localised skin reaction and not to worry.

Thank you for the reassurance. I think I’ll wait and see how it is in morning x
