Laxatives for babies

Help!!
My baby is 12 weeks on Tuesday and was given laxatives on Thursday just gone as he was constipated and hadn’t had a poo for 5 days, the laxatives worked and he pood!! Hurray! (Never imagined myself getting excited about poo - but I did).
I gave him the laxatives on Thursday and Friday, but then weren’t too sure whether I should carry on giving them as the doctors said it was whether I felt he still needed them or not.
So since Friday he hasn’t done one poo ☹️ He just keeps throwing up and I’ve tried giving him an ounce of cooled boiled water and he’s just throwing that back up.
I’m debating taking him back to the doctors, but don’t want to if it’s unnecessary... any advice or help?!
He’s EBF if that has anything to do with it and I haven’t changed my diet.
Thanks x

I know tongue tie can cause awful wind, but constipation? baby massage positions really do help btw.

Unless it was hard and rabbit-poo-like when he went, I don't think this baby was constipated. As PPs have said, 10 days without pooing is perfectly normal for an ebf baby. It's very difficult to constipate them - assuming, that is, they are only consuming bm. Meds for reflux can constipate them, as can solids - but as baby is only 12wks presumably solids aren't an issue

I got both my one tongue tie done. I thing with my newborn it was really making him windy but I’ve realised since getting it done he’s a windy baby anyways. He likes the sun and moon massage as well and the leg cycling.
