My 2 year old DD has chicken pox and is covered from head to toe. They have just started to bother her, I'm giving her piriton for the itching, calamine lotion for the spots and calpol for her temp. What I'm wondering is, is there anything else o can do to help her?

Thanks

Stop the calamine- it dries and makes the itching worse.
Warm baths with bicarb in really helped Dd when she had it. Several a day.

I've heard oat baths are very soothing, put oats in an old pair of tights and put them in the bath.

Antihistamines were the best thing when my DD had the pox. Really helped her.

i would stop the calamine and buy something called virasoothe - it’s a cooling gel and apparently helps to reduce scarring too. available in chemists
