Went to the doctors with Dd about 3 months ago about her spots. Doctor said it was acne but because it was relatively mild he didn’t want to put her on 12 months of antibiotics. DD has back acne, worse on her left shoulder. There is also a small amount on her chest. Doctor said too great an area for prescription cream as would go through loads! Suggested trying the pill to see if it helps but also suggested an OTC cream to try.
We decided to try the OTC cream which has worked amazingly on her face which is now quite clear. Just the odd breakout before periods.
However her back and shoulder is still quite spotty. We are going back to the doctors next week. Would you put your Dd on the pill?
Dd is very self conscious of her back acne and is happy to try the pill for 6 months to see if it helps. What would you do? Thanks
