Hi, dd1 is 14 and has Aspergers. She went through a phase recently of washing her hands a lot (but dialled it back when we talked about how that might affect her skin) and is still obsessed with hygiene (won't put stuff in the bin because she doesn't want to touch it e.g.).
This morning we talked about how often she goes to the loo in the night - up until about 1 a.m., she seems to go about 3 times per hour. I was concerned she might have a UTI or worse, but she says she only does this after going to bed and it's because she's annoyed by the feeling of even slight fullness in her bladder and has to keep emptying even when there's hardly anything there.
Because she can control this at school and during the day, I'm unsure whether it's worth seeing the GP, or will it pass (so to speak?). She's also quite up and down in her moods lately - can seem depressed, but then giggling on Instagram half an hour later, which I could put down to adolescent hormones. But should I? (I suffered myself from depression in my teens that went supernova in my 20s so perhaps I'm a little sensitive to this.)
Anyway, would appreciate any advice, esp from parents of ASD girls. Thanks in advance.
