Here’s my concern
3 weeks ago my lo started with hi temp (two years old)
So day after we came of holiday I took her to the doctors who suggested she had an infection (crackles on chest) prescribed antis
7days gone no difference
She was randomally cryknf for a toy as they do and I noticed her one tonsil is massive like omg huge!!
I tried to get a closer look and her other tonsil isn’t at all swollen
So felt her neck the gland is also swollen
But still no signs of sore throat etc

So symptoms is hi temp
Tiredness & one large tonsil

So never thought anything of it
Night after she coughed blood
So spoke to 111 advice to take her to gp ooh
Did normal checks hi temp of 39.7
So suggested she had tonsiltus and gave her more antibiotics I asked why only one tonsil was swollen

She replied the other one will go worse

4 days later left tonsil is still growing larger and right is still normal sizes

What should I do next ??

Please don’t worry. Sounds like it might be strep throat not tonsillitis, especially if it is just on one side. Your DD might need a different course of antibiotics for it, you should definitely go back and see another gp since she is not responding to medication and symptoms seem to be getting worse.
