Rash? What's this on lip?

I can't quite figure out what it is but it has started to bleed.

Just cleaned it with water as don't want to make it worse any ideas?

DH gets them quite a bit and they usually split and start to bleed after a few days.

It should scab over and heal within 4-5 days

It looks like a cold sore, kids sometimes get them if they have been in the sun. Once it is healed get a good lipsalve that has a spf rating and cover the lip and skin around the mouth and that should protect it. If they get more of them then a trip to the GP and then can give you some slightly medicated cream which does the trick!!

I used to get loads of them as a kid!!
