Dermoid

I suspect my daughter has a dermoid after discovering a lump on the bridge of her nose. We've been referred to a Alder Hey for further investigation but am tying myself up in knots worrying about her having an operation on her face. Has anyone else been through this and come through the other side?

How frustrating fingers crossed its not long for you now. We're back for a check up this week its looking pretty good now only 3. 5 weeks after the op xx

Wow she looks great! We're still waiting, all is well tho. Starting to wonder what she'll look like afterwards as her nose bump is quite big now.. mmm can only wait and see. We've chatted to her about it and she seems fine as long as she can have an lol doll afterwards! Kids!😂

Hers has faded a lot now only 4 months on so I hope this puts you at ease a little

Update! So I rang alder hey today to check she was still on the list etc..
The lady rang me back to say yes, she was on mr Fattah's list (same as yours!) But he was booked til September- would consider her for cancellations..
Half an hour later they rang back and asked if we could go next Wednesday!! 17th July! So it's booked in. !!! Just means she finishes school a couple of days early for summer holidays

That's wonderful, perfect timing before the holidays too! I'm so relieved for you. Mr Fattah is really nice and clearly know his stuff. Carys' scar has healed so well we've even taken a few photos lately where for the first time I've thought it's not really visible. Best of luck we'll be thinking of you xx.

It is done! Long day yesterday, went in at 9am and didn't go down til 3.15pm, she was starving! But they were all great. She was amazing! So swollen today, but she's been so good! And getting spoiled!4-6 weeks for follow up apparently

Oh gosh that is a long wait, it was similar for us we were in at 8am and didn't go down til 1230. I'm so glad you're through the other side and she's smiling through. We did have a follow up appointment within 3 weeks but we're still waiting on the 6 month check appointment xx
