I have an almost 7 month old little girl who we think is struggling with hayfever. We have had her at the doctors and he has prescribed Piriton in the biggest does she can have twice a day but it doesn't seem to be giving her any relief at all . Her eyes are gunky, her nose is streaming and she is itching her eyes and is very irritable. Her older brother and I both suffer so I know that there will be many who think she is too young for this but ts my instinct and the Dr's that this is what it is. Unless its a cat allergy which has just started to rear its head?!?!?! Anyway - I am doing everything I can think of to make it easier - clean bedding every night, washing her hair and face every night, drying clothes indoors rather than outdoors, medication twice a day, saline nose drops, olbas oil etc to no avail. She now appears to also have allergy induced croup ( who knew) which sounds just awful. Has anyone been in a similar situation and been prescribed anything else? I honestly dont think I can accept that there is nothing more that we can do for her, she is so little and is so uncomfortable - she has gone from sleeping 12 hours solid to waking up every 20-30 minutes and right off her food. Its only May and we have the whole seasons to go through! I'm so upset for her which know sounds ridiculous but she is usually such a happy bright baby . Oh and we also haven't introduced any new foods that could have caused this either. Thank you
