Mouth Breathing, Snoring and Adenoidectomy

After a lot of deliberations and watching our son suffer with disturbed sleep (mouth breathing, waking up frequently and sitting up for a few seconds, hesitation to go to playschool in the morning) for almost a year (he's 3.5 years old), we got our son's adenoids removed 3 weeks back. The ENT suggested that removing tonsils was not necessary, since it was a blockage caused by enlarged adenoids. However, his snoring hasn't gone away and he still breathes through the mouth. Last night there was foam in his mouth while sleeping. The ENT says that it takes 3 to 6 months to see the benefits of adenoidectomy. Can some of you share your experiences with similar cases.

Oh well it is easy. 1 tsp honey (pref raw) grate fresh ginger and squeeze about 4 drops in honey (i make a hole) squeeze 3 or 4 drops lemon juice and bribe child to take 2 x a day. I follow with drink and cytoplan gummy bear ( vitamin) just as it is a bit hot...we call it spicey honey. She takes it though as she can see how her nose has been better ever since she started it! Going to try and reduce to 1 x per day now as she has been clear for over a week!

No - adenoid removal should help instantly.
Sounds like it could be tonsils or maybe there is an infection or swelling.
