This evening my DS (3) had a huuuuuge meltdown...and literally instantly afterwards his face, neck & scalp are covered in non blanching pin prick dots...Ive looked online and it seems to be petichae. (Burst vessels from straining- explains them appearing after crying). Does anyone elses child get this? Is it worth asking the GP about it?

God, I've done this while pregnant. Not sure if it was the blood thinners or the sheer scale of my hormonal tantrums... (Actually one was morning sickness volacity.)

My ds age 3 has had this happen twice from crying but only under his eyes (obviously everyone's skin is different!). As long as you know exactly the reason why (witnessed meltdown) the rash has appeared, it doesn't spread elsewhere and ur dc appears well in himself then there is no reason to go to gp with this. It can also happen from forceful vomiting etc anything that causes straining.
