Chicken pox scab

Hi all, my son recently had chicken pox. He's 100% better now and all scabbed up. However his nursery have sent him home as two scabs have been knocked and fallen off prematurely - does that sound right to you? I can't see how he's still contagious as the spots have scabbed over! Thanks for your help

Sounds wrong to me. I thought the scabs indicated that there was no virus present any mire, not that they were covering the virus up. Am sure the NHS website says something sensible.
