DD 7 vomited once 2 weeks ago. After 2 hrs she was ok but I kept her off school 48 hrs to be safe. Last Wednesday when I dropped her off at school breakfast club she said she felt a little sick, at this point she hadn't eaten so they said they would make her some toast and see how she goes. Once she had eaten she said she was better and was ok all day at school. Thursday came and school rang late afternoon to say she felt sick again, DH picked her up at normal finish time because they'd phoned that late it was hometime before he got there. Friday morning she went back to school but again we got a call, she felt sick and was upset DH picked her up straight away. The thing is inbetween times she's fine, she's eating normally, playful, laughing etc but the she'll just go pale and say she's feeling sick again. On Saturday and Sunday she said she felt sick only once and has been fine all weekend other than that. Again this morning all ok, she said she felt well so off to school we went. The bell went and she went pale, said she felt sick again so I've brought her home. Does anybody know if there is a bug like this doing the rounds?

I could be wrong, but she sounds like she's anxious about something. Maybe something going on at school?

I think the actual vomiting and the feeling sick are unconnected.

It's likely she has seen sick as a way to stay home or get sent home and is using it as she is feeling anxious or stressed and wants home

But can't articulate her actual feeling

That's what I'm worried about. I have asked her if anything has happened or if she's worried about anything. She says not but I know she's struggling with Maths at the moment and SATs are due to start which she was worried about but I thought we had sorted that. She usually loves school, she even complains it's the school holidays. We are going to the doctors this afternoon amyway (I rang for advice and they want to see her). Thank you for resonding.

Poor DD has a water infection. Relieved in some way because at least she's not holding something that's worrying her back. Just hope the Anti biotics work quickly.
