Nasal polyps in my 3.5 year old

So my 3.5 year old has been complaining about her nose and ears...took her to the gp and he found huge nasal polyps in both nostrils.

Urgent referral to an ENT consultant...

Anyone been here before? What can we expect? Lots of info linking cystic fibrosis too...although I don't think she has that it is weird that it seems so closely related

Any info would be much appreciated!

Hi! My daughter has nasal polyps too and thankfully it is not big yet so it can be treated and she won't face any surgery. Her doctor gave us some meds and a nasal spray to help reduce the polyps.

Hi, came across this thread after having discovered nasal polyps in my 4 Year old dd nose. Initially gp put her on waiting list for ent. I mentioned the link to CF and she seemed unconcern so now we are 3 weeks on and husband received a rather casual phonecall from GP to say we may or may not be called for her to be tested for CF. I am going out of my mind. DD has asthma and allergies. Please tell me how you are getting on with polyp situation. I am literally unable to function due to worry. Xx

Although nasal polyps are more common in the CF community they are also seen in those who do not have CF.
My sons has nasal polyps, he doesn’t have CF but it was found that he is a carrier when he was tested.
