My three year old has been having frequent mild fevers, on and off for almost a year now and I'd really like to know if this is common
His temperature goes up to between 37.6 (which for his seems to be high enough to make him feel unwell and hot to the touch) and 38 degrees c, so they aren't really high but high enough to make him miserable.
He doesn't have any other symptoms and it never results in a proper illness.
It goes up and down throughout the day, seems to be worse when he's tired but almost everyday at some point it goes up above 37.6 and it's clear he feels miserable and just wants to go back to bed
We've been back and fore to the gp, he's had two lots of blood tests to check for infection and inflammation and they've come back normal
I've started keeping a food diary but so far there's no correlation.
He is already milk and wheat free as directed by the hospital when he was younger, due to digestive symptoms
I'm wondering if this is a "normal" part of his immune system developing and common to other children?
Many thanks!
