swollen lymph nodes

15 week old baby- one on back of the neck, left side. Has got larger since I went to the drs last Tuesday, but not massive. Think I had spotted it when it had just started to get bigger. One on right hand side of head which had not come up when I went to Drs, tiny at the moment. About in line with top of ear but further back (didn't realise you could get them on head)
Dr says has to be infection for them to swell up, but as far as I can see baby has not had an infection nor has one. Dr has referred baby for ultrasound just to check things out
The only thing I can think of is he has a very very mild case of cradle cap- his head is a bit scaly.

Now I've googled and I'm reading about lymphoma. I know it is unlikely to be this, but as a neurotic googling mother I have now convinced myself the kid has cancer.
Anyone had experience of a young baby having swollen lymph nodes? I don't want to hear from anyone who had lymphoma- sorry if that sounds insensitive. Sad

Hey! I am totally with you in the googling! My daughter is almost 2 and seems to constantly get swollen glands, but always for a reason, which I often forget! We've been referred to a specialist too, just waiting to find out when. My gp said this was protocol and he wasn't worried. It's thankfully quite rare. Just think how much better after an all clear from the specialist you'll feel! That's what keeping me sane!
