Any nurses about ?

my dd had an op for her abscess on her lower back (near her bottom ) about three weeks ago. All went well. Community nurses coming in everyday except weekends to change her dressing. On Friday they went to her school (she has SN) to change her dressing but never got a call fro them to say how it looked and if it needed changing at the weekend (have to go to the local walk in centre). Her wound today looked completely heeled. Now I’m panicking if the ribbon they use to put inside the wound has been left inside and the wound has closed around the ribbon. It happened to my brother years back and he had a very nasty infection because of it. The ribbon is nowhere to be found either. In her home book they have written that the nurse had told them it’s looking very good Confused what does that mean I have no idea. I hate it when there is no proper communication. Does anyone who’s a professional know if this is even possible? For the wound to close up around the ribbon ? Tia.

I would presume if the wound was that close to hearing then they wouldn't have packed it with any ribbon but really it's only the nurses who will know Sad is there a number for the community nurses? Where I worked previously there was always someone on call for OOH from the team
