Stomach bug or something else?

My DD got up excited to return to school this morning, she loves school and wants the holidays to be shorter. She had Olives for breakfast like she does every morning (unusal I know) about 5 mins after eating them she started complaining of a stomach ache so I told her to try to go to the toilet. She then called me to say she'd been sick. Obv. kept her off school but she's now dancing around the room like there's nothing wrong - she has had a slice of toast at about 10. Is this a bug or could she suddenly have an issue with Olives? Just seems very strange that she's fine now.

There's no way of telling really - unless someone else catches it, then you know it's a bug!

From what you've said it sounds like maybe excitement / nerves about going back to school, but only time will tell. Could be a tummy bug of some sort, the start of some other illness or just a random puke.

Either way, she needs to stay off school until 48 hours after last symptoms.

How many olives does she eat for breakfast? Does she have anything with them? That would for sure give me a tummy ache in the mornings, but I guess not if she's used to it!

She's been absolutely fine since but have kept her off school just to be safe.

She has 12 olives every morning, don't know how she eats them, can't stand them myself. She doesn't have anything with them, sometimes she will have a some cheese or a yoghurt. She's not a big eater in the morning.
