Sickness bug or something else?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums! But I a little bit worried

I'll start by saying i suffer from emetophobia (the fear of being sick)so I can be a little bit paranoid the best of times

I woke my son up this morning and he had been sick. Only once I think, he looked like he spread it to another place 🤢 he seems okay in himself now, he absolutely wolfed his breakfast down so he must have been hungry. He's crawling around now like nothing has happened and hasn't been sick since or had any poo's at all tbf.

He has his 1 year old injections on Wednesday so I don't know if it could be something to do with that

What do you think? Have any of your children ever had a bug bit only been sick once and instantly bounced back from it without any other symptoms?

Thanks!

My ds had a bout of random vomiting a couple months ago and the doc told us at the time that children in general are sick for so many different reasons, such as going to bed with a too full tummy, having something to eat that didn't agree (not food poisoning) feeling unwell and the body's response is to vomit, high temperature, the list goes on! If he has wolfed down his breakfast and kept it down its unlikely a bug. A bug is usually a day or two of consistent vomit or runny poo and generally unwell, sometimes with a fever but not always. I would keep it light food wise just in case.

Ear infection and tonsillitis can also cause vomiting.

When my daughter was a few months old she randomly vomited during the night. It was very traumatic (for me, she just latched on when she was done) but she was fine. If he seems fine and isn't sick again I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn't worry about a one off vomit especially if he seems fine in himself. They can be sick for so many reasons when they're wee

My son did a one off vomit in Nov last year (I was terrified and slept with a bowl for a good week), it was really mucousy and I believe it was the snotty nose that caused his vomit. I'm emetophobic as well btw.
