Hi everyone,

I posted to this forum back in August last year about a lump in my DD neck (Here)

We've had scans, blood tests and then eventually in Jan we had it removed and biopsy. After a lengthy wait we had everyone baffled at our hospital (Previously being told it was probably a congenital cyst), They had to get a second opinion which made the wait even longer, then eventually last month our consultant said the pathologists report came back and it was really long so she emailed me a summary.

To be honest i wish i didn't bother asking now, i cant even describe what i feel at the moment, I'm really glad that its not cancer but the word tuberculosis shocked me, I have to wait for our paediatric appointment in June now for them to investigate, has anyone encountered this before and what was the outcome?

Tia x

A colleague's dd was diagnosed with avian tb age 3 - she had a lump in her neck which was removed by surgery. They think she caught it feeding the ducks at the park. I don't remember if there was any treatment following surgery but the end result was she's fine.
