Chicken pox

Dd3 has had CP twice and a bad bout of shingles. Two weeks ago she had 12 spots so took her to the docs who said it was CP again. She only had about 14 spots and they didn't scab but went down a bit but they are still visable. Today she's got a few more come up on her neck, belly and back and she has a big lump under her armpit. They aren't just red they have pus/ liquid inside.

So I'm wondering if it was actually CP as they never scabbed over, what else could it be? Her armpit is very sore so I'm thinking the lump is a spot but it's not visable yet.

Is it worth taking her back to the doctor again?

Hi, I would take her back to gp. I think it's possible to get cp twice and shingles but not a 3rd time? The big lump in armpit sounds like a swollen lymph node to me from whatever infection she's fighting xx

I said that to the doctor and she said she's one of the unlucky ones who will catch it lots Confused.
I always thought you could only get it once. I'll pop her to the doctor tomorrow.

You can get it more than once. Don't take her to the GP with suspected chicken pox. Call for advice.
Could it be molluscum?

It's not the CP I'm worried about it's the lump under her arm, which I'm hoping is a spot. Also I have to take her to the doctors to confirm as the school asked me to.

No @Minniemannymoo. You don't take a child with chicken pox to a waiting room possibly full of immunocompromised people. You can call and ask for advice.
